A custom AI chat assistant for your website
A branded chat assistant that answers your visitors' common questions from content you approve, collects their details for your team, and says so when it does not know.
What is it?
A custom AI chat widget is a chat window on your website that answers visitors' questions using information you have approved, such as your services, service area, hours and FAQs, and collects contact details when someone wants to talk to you.
The assistant on this website is one we built and run ourselves. Try it with a question about our services.

Who it is for
A good fit if you...
- Get the same handful of questions by phone and email every week
- Have website visitors outside office hours
- Want inquiries captured with the details your team needs to follow up
- Want the assistant limited to answers you have approved
Something else may fit better if you...
- Want calls to your phone line answered: see ReplicAi™, available by request
- Are not sure a chat assistant is your best next step: see the AI Operations Assessment
- Need it to give professional advice, such as legal, medical or financial guidance. We do not set assistants up for that
What you get
- A chat widget styled to match your website
- Answers grounded in content you approve, which you can review before launch
- Inquiry capture: name, contact details and what they need, sent to your team
- A clear handoff when the assistant is unsure, pointing visitors to a person
- Rules for urgent topics, so they go straight to a phone number instead of a chatbot answer
- Testing on desktop and mobile before launch
- Optional: appointment requests connected to your calendar, where your setup supports it
Not included
- Phone or voice answering (see ReplicAi)
- Guaranteed correct answers: the assistant can be wrong, which is why we limit it to approved content and build in a handoff
- Hosting or ongoing changes, unless agreed in the quote
How it works
- Introductory call. 20 minutes, free, to understand your visitors' common questions and your website setup.
- Scope and quote. What the assistant will and will not answer, where inquiries go, and the price.
- Content. We gather the approved information it will answer from, and you review it.
- Build and test. We set up and style the widget, then test it with real questions, including ones it should refuse.
- Launch and review. We go live and review early conversations with you to tighten answers.
Example: a property manager's website
Illustrative example for a fictional business. Not a client result.
Business: a property management company whose office phone fills up with the same tenant questions.
- Problem
- Tenants call to ask how to submit a maintenance request, when rent is due and how to reach the after-hours line.
- Assistant answers
- Those questions, from the company's own tenant handbook, which the office reviewed and approved.
- Urgent rule
- Messages that mention gas, flooding, fire or no heat show the emergency phone number immediately instead of a chatbot answer.
- Inquiries
- Prospective owners who want a management quote leave their details, which go to the office by email.
- Measure
- Number of routine questions answered in chat each month, and how many inquiries it captured.
How we judge success
We agree what the assistant should handle before launch. After launch we review a sample of conversations with you, track the questions it could not answer, and add approved content to close the gaps.
Pricing
Chat assistants are quoted after an introductory call, based on how much content it needs to cover, where inquiries need to go, and whether you want ongoing updates. You receive a written quote before any work starts.
Common questions
Will it make things up?
AI assistants can be wrong. We limit answers to content you approve, test it with tricky questions, and set it to hand off to a person when it is unsure.
What happens to chat conversations?
That depends on the setup. Before launch we document what is kept, where, and who can see it, so you can decide.
Can it book appointments?
It can collect appointment requests, and in some setups place them on your calendar. We confirm what your setup supports during scoping.
Can we update the answers ourselves?
We agree how updates work in the quote: you send changes to us, or we set up a way for your team to edit approved content.
How is it priced?
After an introductory call, based on scope. You receive a written quote before any work starts.
